If I want you
Will you love me
Will I love you
Or is love
More subtle
More comfortable
Less of a need
Than a soft
Daily pleasure

As much as we wish and dream that they did, some days don't hold a "soft daily pleasure," especially for people who are *committed* to each other.
After her husband survived a head-on collision, my sister-in-law waited, watched, and helped him through months and years of coma/rehab/re-insertion into home life, society, and work life. That was sheer hell for the longest time, with artifacts more than a decade later.
A lesser woman wouldn't have survived that kind of love.
I could get by with either...as long as I could count on an occasionally raucous cacophony of exhilaration.
