1935. Better Than Dreams
The man I love
The one
Who'll marry me
I don't need
To write him poetry
His love and our
Lives together
Are far, far better
Than any fantasy

1934. Better Than Expensive
Your gifts
Of warm pastries
And hot cocoa
Spiced with rum
While we cuddle
On line
At the ice rink
Dreaming
Of holding hands
And gliding
Together
On the ice
Show me
So clearly
You're the type
Of guy for me

1932. Years Counted in Seconds
I see a clock
Silently
It goes tick, tock
As every second
Passes,
I wonder how
Many years
Are there
Still to wait
Till I
Start
A life
Together
With a man
Who'll love me
Forever
About Women

It goes tick, tock
As every second

I wonder how

With a man
Who'll love me

1931. Take a Number
I'm sorry
Could you say
Who this is?
It's me:
____ _____.
Oh.
I'm sure
A busy man
Like you
Understands.
When I didn't
Hear
From you,
I
Erased
Your name
And replaced
It
With
Five
Others.

1930. Live in Color or in Greyscale - It's Your Choice
An introspection in prose:
Some believe a lack of neediness will lead you faster to your goals. I believe that lacking a sense of deep and profound need - for a certain relationship or even for non-essential items - is actually a fast way to miss out on all the real intensity and joy in life. By lacking a deep feeling of need for the non-essentials you want, you might get lucky and experience fewer of life's sorrows. But you'll certainly miss out on the intense pleasure of getting Exactly what you want Exactly when you want it. There's little enjoyment in getting something you no longer really need or want. Lacking the need for life's non-essentials means that you've greyed out all the color in your life - and settled for plain oatmeal. By contrast, intense need and fulfillment -- for education, accomplishment, purchases, experiences, deep and mutual romantic love - provide rich, multifaceted, delicious, lasting, and all encompassing pleasure in every stage - in the anticipation, during the fulfillment, and after the fact. Heck, that's what life is for. Most of life's joy is in the imagination, active pursuit, and intensely fulfilled experience of our heart's strongest felt desires. Live life intensely to get the best of it. It makes the whole endeavor worthwhile.
